Job Title: Associate Scientist - Formulation and Delivery

Job Description

Join our formulation and delivery team to collaborate with research scientists in developing next-generation herbicide products and support research and development activities, as well as commercially launched products. This role involves evaluating the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances to explore their applications in formulated products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with research scientists to develop herbicide products.
• Evaluate chemical and physical properties of substances for product formulation.
• Diligently record laboratory tasks, procedures, and findings in an electronic laboratory notebook system.
• Work on various projects following standard operating procedures and basic lab techniques.
• Operate laboratory equipment including pH meters, mixers, agitators, homogenizers, and milling equipment.
• Follow pre-established guidelines and rely on instructions to perform job functions under immediate supervision.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related area.
• Hands-on lab experience and an interest in lab work.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with rheometer and interfacial measurement is a plus.
• Proficiency in chemistry/chemical engineering principles, including mass-balance calculations.
• Preferred industrial experience in formulation development with products such as pesticides, foods, cosmetics, consumer products, and paints/coatings.

Work Environment

This position is based at our Chesterfield, MO site, where interviews will also be conducted. The work involves using various laboratory equipment, following standard operating procedures, and working under immediate supervision.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesterfield, MO.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
