Job Title: Assistant Construction PM
Job Description
The Assistant PM will support the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily jobsite operations for a large-scale school renovation project. The role will focus heavily on document control, coordination, and field support, serving as a key liaison between the field and project management teams. The project is slated to complete in September, but hours in the summer will be stable.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track RFIs and submittals.
- Maintain organized project documentation and logs.
- Assist with trade coordination and day-to-day subcontractor support.
- Support the Superintendent with inspections, reports, and quality documentation.
- Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, and turnover preparation.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent on daily project needs.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Proficiency in construction document control, including RFIs, submittals, logs, and drawings.
- Experience in supporting Project Managers and Superintendents on active jobsites.
- Ability to provide trade coordination support and interact with subcontractors.
- Capability to work onsite in a fast-paced renovation environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/hr.
