Assistant Project Manager

Join our dynamic power delivery and construction team as an Assistant Project Manager, supporting a major investor-owned utility. You will play a vital role in managing construction and engineering projects worth over $50 million within the transmission group. This position offers a blend of office work with occasional travel to Duluth and the surrounding service areas for on-site project management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the utility on project management scopes for construction and engineering.
• Participate in the development, routing, and field construction of transmission projects.
• Interface extensively with engineering, scheduling, cost control, and field staff.
• Utilize software such as Autodesk and Primavera for project scheduling.
• Document and report OSHA and safety compliance in the field.

• 2 years of recent experience in electrical construction or field engineering on energy projects, including telecommunications, transmission, distribution, or renewables.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Proficiency in project management tools, including Autodesk and Primavera.

• Experience with electrical transmission projects is advantageous.
• Living in Duluth or willingness to relocate is a significant plus.

This position offers a blend of office work in Duluth and field work in the service areas of Duluth, Cloquet, Fargo, and Bemidji. You will have access to a company vehicle and flexible travel arrangements. The work environment emphasizes collaboration with engineering and field teams, requiring occasional travel for crucial meetings, especially at the project's outset.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duluth, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $56.00/hr.
