Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects with a focus on insulated metal panel systems, including refrigerated warehouses, food processing plants, and mission-critical facilities. This role bridges field operations and office administration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing the installation of insulated metal panels (IMPs) and cold storage systems.
• Coordinate delivery of materials, equipment rentals, and labor across multiple job sites.
• Track and report project budgets, expenditures, and payroll submissions.
• Prepare and process change orders with general contractors for additional time and materials.
• Support the creation and editing of shop drawings for IMP installation.
• Compile documentation for project estimates and bid submittals.
• Monitor project progress and prepare status reports for upper management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Communicate effectively with site superintendents, foremen, vendors, and clients.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Bluebeam Revu.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and schematics.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, with a preference for cold storage or metal panel systems.
• Experience in commercial building and metal fabrication.

The position involves working onsite on large-scale industrial projects including refrigerated warehouses, food processing plants, and mission-critical facilities. There are career advancement opportunities into Superintendent and Project Management roles.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
