Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Electrical Project Manager to join our team and manage a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectors. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and completion of projects while aligning with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex projects across multiple sectors.
• Provide on-site leadership and motivate team members to meet project goals.
• Align projects with strategic objectives and report on success criteria.
• Demonstrate expertise in construction cost projection and financial management.
• Identify scope creep, manage project change orders, and communicate effectively with the project team.
• Work creatively and analytically to solve problems and support innovation.
• Establish project practices, templates, policies, and tools.
• Prepare estimates and project plans for all phases of the project.
• Coordinate with superintendents and foremen to manage labor hours and expectations.
• Procure resources to achieve project objectives within planned timeframes.
• Manage day-to-day project activities and resources.
• Monitor staff performance and provide regular status reporting.
• Act as an internal quality control check for the project.
• Assist in dispute resolution and contract management.
• Understand and ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.

Essential Skills

• 7 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
• 5 years of experience with full product lifecycle and technology methodologies.
• Journeyman or master electrical license (E1/E2 preferred but not required).
• Strong leadership and motivational skills across organizational levels.
• Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project Sight, Procore, Blue Beam.
• Experience in negotiating with vendors and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• candidates with 10-20 years).
• Experience with change orders, budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, take-offs, and buyouts.
• Experience with Accubid, BlueBeam, and Procore software.
• Experience in commercial, healthcare, and multifamily projects ranging from $1k to $16M.

Work Environment

The role requires full-time office presence with occasional on-site visits. Projects are located primarily in Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, and Litchfield counties. The work environment is collaborative, supporting both independent and team-oriented tasks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Newtown, CT.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
