Architectural Designer

Job Description

Seeking an Architectural Designer to support large-scale retail remodel programs in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. This onsite role focuses on producing and coordinating AutoCAD floor plans, fixture layouts, and elevations while ensuring designs align with brand standards, client requirements, and architectural/MEP coordination. The designer will collaborate with architects, designers, and project teams, managing multiple projects at once and supporting efficient rollout and prototype updates.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update AutoCAD plans, fixture layouts, elevations, and documentation.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure buildable solutions.
• Manage multiple retail remodel projects simultaneously.
• Incorporate standards, revisions, and prototype updates with accuracy and consistency.
• Support client communication and project coordination.
• Perform research, code checks, QA/QC reviews, and support construction-phase needs.
• Assist with contract documents, cost estimating, and site-related observations.

Required Skills

• Strong AutoCAD proficiency for producing accurate, buildable retail plans and elevations.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced retail projects concurrently.
• Expertise in construction documentation and coordination.
• Effective communication and collaboration across clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited B.Arch or M.Arch preferred (not required).
• 5 years of architectural or design-related experience.
• Experience supporting high-volume retail environments.
• Passion for grocery/retail architecture.

Disqualifiers

• No AutoCAD experience.
• Less than 5 years of architectural or design-related experience.
• Inability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Poor communication or inability to work collaboratively with clients and teams.
• Unwillingness to work onsite in Issaquah, WA.

Work Environment

• Onsite role in Issaquah, WA.
• Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, flexible within a 40-hour workweek; availability required from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Highly collaborative environment requiring clear and effective communication with other offices and clients.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Issaquah, WA.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.50/hr.
