Analytical Scientist

Position Summary

The Analytical Scientist performs entry level chemical analysis in pharmaceutical compounds

making full use and application of standard chemical principles, theories,

concepts, and techniques.

• Develop and validate methods; provide analytical support to the Research and Development department to meet project goals; select appropriate methods and techniques in performing analytical experiments.
• Collaborate with analytical personnel to help develop routine analytical methods and work cross functionally to achieve target goals and seek out potential solutions to issues.
• Assist in creating method validation and /or qualification protocols and reports as well as analytical methods; perform all laboratory work that will support method validation, transfer, and qualification.
• General housekeeping including maintaining general cleanliness of laboratories and restocking reagents and laboratory consumables.
• Conduct review of peer data.
• Maintain a through and neat laboratory notebook.
• Compilation of data obtained from analytical tests, analysis of the data, and reporting of the final result to appropriate department.
• Perform qualification of primary and secondary reference material to be used as analytical standards.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in Chemistry or related Chemistry discipline
• 0 - 2 of experience in method development, validation, transfer.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
• Knowledge of the following instrumentation is highly desired: LC/UV/MS, FTIR, GC, GC/MS, NMR and KF.

This is a Contract position based out of Rancho Cordova, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
