Job Description
This position involves working in a laboratory setting to perform quality control (QC) work. The role includes testing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods using HPLC and GC methods, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a GMP environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct HPLC and GC testing on samples from production and final products.
- Perform raw material, in-process, and finished goods testing.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
- Adhere to SOPs and work within a GMP environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory techniques.
- Experience with HPLC, GC, FTIR, and viscosity testing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow SOPs and work in a GMP environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Experience as a Wet Chem Lab Technician is beneficial.
- Prior lab experience performing quality control testing, preferably with HPLC and GC.
Work Environment
This is a lab-based position focused on QC bench work and documentation. The candidate will be one of two Lab Technicians conducting hands-on QC analysis in a small, family-owned business specializing in lotions and cream products for over-the-counter use. The lab team includes three individuals: the director, two lab techs, and a QC tech person assisting with sample processing. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
