Job Description
The Blender Operator plays a key role in a beverage manufacturing facility by operating and monitoring industrial blending equipment to accurately mix juice concentrates, ingredients, flavors, and additives according to precise production formulas and batch specifications. This position ensures consistent product quality, adherence to food safety standards, and accurate documentation, while working with advanced manufacturing systems in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor industrial blending equipment to accurately mix juice concentrates, ingredients, flavors, and additives according to production formulas and batch specifications.
- Measure, weigh, and verify raw materials before batching to ensure product consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the blending process, including monitoring Brix levels, pH, temperature, and ingredient ratios.
- Adjust blends as needed to meet product specifications and maintain consistent quality across batches.
- Maintain detailed batch records, production logs, and inventory transactions in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and all company food safety and safety procedures.
- Clean and sanitize blending tanks, pumps, lines, and associated equipment to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.
- Perform routine inspections of blending equipment to identify issues and support efficient operation.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure timely completion of batches and smooth production flow.
- Handle ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies safely while following established handling and storage procedures.
- Support filling and production activities related to blending operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with production and safety standards.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating industrial blending, batching, or mixing equipment in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of batching processes, blending techniques, and mixing procedures for food or beverage products.
- Ability to perform and interpret in-process quality checks such as Brix, pH, temperature, and ingredient ratios.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards such as HACCP.
- Ability to complete and maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and inventory documentation.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 10–12 hour production shift.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials, ingredients, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms to access blending tanks and production equipment.
- Willingness and ability to perform regular bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive hand movements while operating, cleaning, and inspecting equipment.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, temperature variations, and food-grade cleaning chemicals while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment
This role is based in a production and manufacturing environment focused on beverage processing. The Blender Operator works around industrial blending tanks, pumps, filling lines, and other moving machinery, with regular exposure to production noise and temperature variations. The position requires standing and walking for most of a 10–12 hour shift, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, working on elevated platforms, and performing repetitive motions while operating and cleaning equipment. Employees work with food-grade ingredients and cleaning chemicals and must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
