3D Animator

As a Technical 3D Animator specializing in industrial products, you will join a leading company renowned for its expertise in designing and manufacturing electrical controls, enclosures, and custom metal fabrications. We serve diverse industries such as water management, oil production, wastewater treatment, and process control, and are committed to delivering quality and innovative solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive CAD files from engineering teams and convert them for animation workflows.
• Produce compelling product visualizations, animated demonstrations, and motion graphics for sales, marketing, and trade show needs.
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications, Graphic Designer, and internal engineering teams.
• Develop visual content that clearly communicates the function and importance of our industrial products.
• Manage a solo production pipeline from intake to delivery.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Design, Industrial Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-7 years of professional 3D animation experience, with at least 2 years focused on mechanical, industrial, or product subject matter.
• Proficiency with Blender and/or Cinema 4D for 3D modeling, rigging, and animation.
• Experience with Redshift or equivalent rendering engines.
• Strong command of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and compositing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
• Experience receiving and interpreting industrial CAD files from Autodesk Inventor or equivalent software.
• Proficiency with STEP and IGES file formats and the ability to evaluate geometry for animation readiness.
• Hands-on experience converting CAD files to optimized meshes using Autodesk Fusion and/or Oniko.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Unreal Engine for real-time rendering or interactive product demonstrations.
• Familiarity with fluid or particle simulation for visualizing water flow, pressure systems, or process dynamics.
• Previous experience creating content for trade show environments.
• Basic AR asset preparation experience (glTF/USDZ optimization) for web-based product visualization.
• Experience integrating 3D animation deliverables into marketing platforms or video production workflows.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment from 7:45 am to 4:00 pm. After the first 4-6 weeks, there is the potential to transition to a hybrid work arrangement.

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
