What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Blender position at Actalent?
The Blender is responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients according to a Batch Record, akin to a cooking recipe. This role involves retrieving materials from inventory and combining dry and/or wet ingredients in stainless steel vats for blending.
Responsibilities- Stage materials as per requirements.
- Follow batch tickets precisely.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control of products.
- Adhere to HACCP & SQF standards.
- Maintain sanitation of equipment and production line.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience in blending or working within FDA-regulated environments.
- Keen attention to detail.
- 1-5 years of experience within a GMP facility.
- 1-5 years of experience with mixing operations.
- 1-5 years of experience working with batch tickets.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Experience with sanitation processes, including CIP systems.
The role is based in a Liquid Processing Beverage Facility, where the blending room involves mixing a significant amount of dry/sugar ingredients, which might affect individuals sensitive to such environments. Employees can taste the sugar in the air. The facility operates on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday to Friday. The team consists of experienced employees, and new team members are expected to train quickly and work diligently. Dress code and safety gear requirements will be communicated during orientation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.48 - $27.48/hr.
