Position Summary
A Member Service Representative is responsible for delivering excellent service at all times by presenting a positive, efficient and professional front line atmosphere, making members our number one priority, and treating all internal and external members with respect and courtesy.
As a Floating Teller, you will provide excellent customer service while performing a variety of teller and banking functions across multiple branch locations. The Floating Teller role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to different branch environments as you will be assigned to various locations based on business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Adhering to performance standards and core values on a daily basis with internal and external members
- Efficiently and accurately handling all member transactions in person, by mail, by email, or by phone
- Researching and following-up of member inquiries regarding credit union accounts, products and services accurately and efficiently.
- Educating and informing members on all credit union products and services; referring and/or cross-selling credit union products and services in order to meet goals.
- Performing member account maintenance functions including closures, personal and account data changes, and account openings accurately and efficiently.
- Promptly greet/acknowledge members instilling respect and a sense of importance and belonging.
- Remaining accountable and responsible for the security of all credit union funds assigned
- Possessing and maintaining knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies, and procedures. Member Service Representatives must be able to explain the features/benefits of all credit union products and services to members/potential members and cross-sell accordingly.
- Complying with all state and federal regulations related to this job and to the credit union by demonstrating knowledge and adhering to all regulations and credit union policies and procedures.
- Attending training classes as requested by Branch Manager.
- Accurately and efficiently completing all member or account related forms and forwarding to appropriate department.
- Being available to travel to any branch location as requested/needed, as well as working on Saturdays as scheduled.
- Completing any job assignments and duties assigned by Senior Member Service Representative or Branch Managers.
- Promoting an atmosphere of teamwork
- Assisting in special projects or other assignments as requested.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Analytical Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Proficient in use of a calculator and adding machine and proficient typing skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and use the credit union PC hardware and software
- Proactive and positive attitude.
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Rotating shift/ Rotating weekend shift
- Weekends as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,200.00 per hour
