ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Technical Support Specialist 1 will provide prompt technical support to end users through Help Desk services while troubleshooting and resolving system, application, and infrastructure issues. The role will support software installation, configuration, and system utilization, and assist analysts with application and operational activities. Responsibilities also include conducting risk assessments, maintaining audit documentation, and promoting risk management practices. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A high school diploma (or GED) and at least 5 years of technical or administrative support experience are required. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $29.84 - $47.68

- Provide prompt, courteous technical support to end users through Help Desk services
- Support IS analysts in applications, operations, and system-related activities
- Perform software management tasks, including installation, configuration, and inventory tracking
- Assist in improving utilization of IT systems through troubleshooting, guidance, and issue resolution
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues within IT infrastructure and applications
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for enterprise risk management and internal controls
- Establish and promote risk management methodologies, tools, and best practices across the organization
- Collect, evaluate, and maintain data related to risk assessments, controls, and mitigation activities
- Partner with business units to develop and maintain risk registers and improve risk management capabilities
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and control evaluations; prepare and present findings reports
- Perform follow-up activities to ensure resolution of audit findings and mitigation actions
- Design and deliver training, workshops, and awareness programs to support a strong risk culture
- Coordinate with Executive Board Auditor and key stakeholders on risk and audit matters
- Maintain audit and risk documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Provide oversight and guidance to contractors or matrixed team members supporting risk or audit work
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of risk management programs and recommend improvements
- Ensure alignment of risk practices with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Support special projects, benchmarking studies, and assigned initiatives
- Support biennial refueling outage activities as required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of administrative support or technical support experience
- Basic knowledge of project management techniques and principles
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on data and rational analysis
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and understand interdependencies between activities
- Experience using standard computer software tools and systems
- Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis to support project decisions
- Knowledge of technical specifications, codes, and applicable standards
- Understanding of core values related to human performance and cost-effective work execution
- Ability to support projects and initiatives, including coordination and execution tasks
