ACS Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art design build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids. We have one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Site Quality Manager, and the support and oversight of the Electrical Systems Integration Manager the Electrical Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing product inspection to verify compliance with customer specifications, electrical codes and material specifications. Maintains complete and accurate records of inspection activities.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Inspections: Electrical inspections, equipment inspections, dimensional / positional inspections, connection inspections, label and marking inspections, visual “appearance” inspections and final product inspections.
- Tests: Electrical systems and equipment test to include customer witness tests, set-up of controls and load banks for unit testing.
- Evaluate and review newly released or changed electrical drawings for completeness and correctness. Participate in engineering design reviews.
- Interpret and communicate to others complex build drawings, plans, sketches, symbols and electrical schematics
- Complete all necessary quality required documentation including inspection reports, checklist, control plans, and job records.
- Checks cable laying and cable identification. Performs all relevant loop checks and tests of continuity, insulation resistance. Checks for the proper installation of instruments.
- Work towards a safer and Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Evaluate the workmanship of individual electricians and notify production supervision or the Electrical Systems Integration Manager when additional training is perceived needed.
- Must maintain to strict adherence of all electrical local, state, and federal regulations, codes and requirements, along with customer specifications.
- Prepare detailed electrical systems assembly matrices and inspection checklists; and perform punch-list operations.
- Create documentation for as-build drawings and the creation of Bill of Materials.
- Comprehend and apply basic mathematics; and with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Utilize Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel with proficiency.
- Experienced with medium and high voltage systems installation of switchgears, electric drives and electrical instrumentation.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Must demonstrate discretion, trustworthiness and high confidentiality
- Excellent computer skills with strong Microsoft Office skills
- Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
- Bi-lingual – Spanish/English
Required Education:
- An Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Management, or related field preferred; or five years of experience in the electrical wiring of power systems fabrication, assembly, electronics, systems installation, repair and maintenance. Master Electrician preferred.
