The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Controls Programmer to join our growing team. This is a full-time, on-site position based out of our Orange County facility with regular visits to job sites throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

You’ll design, program, develop, commission, and troubleshoot sophisticated building automation systems that optimize some of Southern California’s most complex HVAC plants. If you love turning code and graphics into real-world energy savings and perfect comfort, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

• Program, configure, and commission Tridium Niagara N4 (and legacy AX) systems
• Program, configure, and commission Distech control systems in Gfx.
• Develop custom sequences, develop code from scratch for optimized HVAC control systems.
• Integrate and troubleshoot BACnet, LON, Modbus, and other industry protocols
• Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and engineers from concept through startup
• Perform system analysis and fine-tune for maximum energy efficiency
• Document projects thoroughly and train end-users when needed

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Strong background in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on Tridium Niagara N4 certification and real-world programming experience
• Proven track record programming complex, optimized commercial/industrial HVAC control systems
• Solid understanding of HVAC equipment, sequences of operation, and building automation protocols
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Self-starter who is resourceful and thrives in a fast-paced environment

Highly Desired:

• Distech Controls (EC-Net, GFX graphical programming) experience
• Experience with other platforms (ALC, JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.)
• Background in energy analysis, retro-commissioning, or fault detection diagnostics (FDD)
• Niagara graphics wizardry a big plus
