What are the responsibilities and job description for the RC & Diamond Drillers position at ACRUX Search Pty Ltd?
- Run a safe, productive drill site –
achieve daily targets, safely
- An understanding of drill programs
- Manage and mentor offsiders and rig
operations – no throwing spanners at the Offsiders!
- Maintain correct drilling practices and
techniques - no shortcuts
- Ensure samples and procedures meet
quality standards – incorrect sampling means a wasted hole
- Communicate with clients, crew, and
management – ability to communicate effectively with mining
Superintendents, Geos and other Stakeholders in a professional manner
- Proactively conducting and reporting
daily pre-starts and maintenance checks: no productivity or metre bonuses
if the rigs break down!
- Consumables stocktake and ordering to
keep the camp and rig well supplied
Requirements
- Experience as Diamond, RC and Aircore
Driller;
- Certificate III or IV in Drilling
Operations (desirable)
- (WA) HR Drivers' Licence; still apply even if you only have a C
Class
- Senior First Aid (or willing to obtain)
- 4WD Certificate (desirable)
- Working at Heights (desirable)
- National Police Clearance – within 3
months
- Of course – fit enough to pass a medical
with a clean urine sample!
Benefits
- WA based roles, mostly around Goldfields
- Happy to stay in bush/caravan camp setups if required
- 2:1 or 4:2 rosters, but flexibility needed for coverage as required
- During probations: $700 - $800 per day metre bonus (experience dependent)
- After probation: $negotiated based on demonstrated ability and meeting agreed KPI's
- WA candidates preferred, East Coast welcome to apply
