Position Title: Linux Systems Administrator

Duration: 3 years Contract on W2 (Possible Extension)
Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to expand and maintain a heterogeneous network of Linux, Windows, OSX, VMware platforms and computer-driven test equipment in support of research into cyber system assessments. A key function of a group Systems Administrator role is to serve as a technology consultant to research staff and project teams. Primary area of expertise for this role will be the Ubuntu operating system.
Required Skills:
- Scripting and Task Automation (e.g. server installation, patch management, configuration)
- Support of DevSecOps environments.
- Understanding of virtualization, networking, and storage concepts
- Hardware: Intel/AMD, Dell
- Configuration of network switches
- Experience with Layer 2 networking protocols (e.g. VLAN)
- Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
- Excellent Problem Solving
- Strong customer service skills and communication
- Strong team communication
- Ansible
- DevSecOps environments (Github, Jfrog, Jenkins, GitLab, Fortify, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Virtualization and containerization (e.g., VmWare, Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)
- Configure storage for Linux systems (LVM, file systems, RAID, storage encryption, SAN, NAS and NFS)
- Ubuntu Systems Administration experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Air-Gapped Networks
- IT system security compliance (NIST, PCI, HIPPA, CMMC)
- Configuring and maintaining Firewall/VPN configurations
- DoD STIG�s and SCAP
- Familiarity with JIRA / Confluence
- Active Directory Administration and GPOs
- RHEL
- Windows system administration
Additional Details:
- Candidates should expect to be onsite five days per week initially. Once up to speed, there may be flexibility for up to one day of remote work per week.
Salary : $70 - $90
