Position Title: Linux Systems Administrator

Location: Lexington, MA USA 02421

Duration: 3 years Contract on W2 (Possible Extension)

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to expand and maintain a heterogeneous network of Linux, Windows, OSX, VMware platforms and computer-driven test equipment in support of research into cyber system assessments. A key function of a group Systems Administrator role is to serve as a technology consultant to research staff and project teams. Primary area of expertise for this role will be the Ubuntu operating system.

Required Skills:

• Scripting and Task Automation (e.g. server installation, patch management, configuration)
• Support of DevSecOps environments.
• Understanding of virtualization, networking, and storage concepts
• Hardware: Intel/AMD, Dell
• Configuration of network switches
• Experience with Layer 2 networking protocols (e.g. VLAN)
• Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
• Excellent Problem Solving
• Strong customer service skills and communication
• Strong team communication
• Ansible
• DevSecOps environments (Github, Jfrog, Jenkins, GitLab, Fortify, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Virtualization and containerization (e.g., VmWare, Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)
• Configure storage for Linux systems (LVM, file systems, RAID, storage encryption, SAN, NAS and NFS)
• Ubuntu Systems Administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Air-Gapped Networks
• IT system security compliance (NIST, PCI, HIPPA, CMMC)
• Configuring and maintaining Firewall/VPN configurations
• DoD STIG�s and SCAP
• Familiarity with JIRA / Confluence
• Active Directory Administration and GPOs
• RHEL
• Windows system administration

Additional Details:

• Candidates should expect to be onsite five days per week initially. Once up to speed, there may be flexibility for up to one day of remote work per week.
