What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Counselor position at Acro Service Corp?
Job Description:
- Helps to Provide resources and Referrals for Supportive services to clients referred by the Police Department.
Qualifications:
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist or able to obtain in the first 6 months of working.
- Past or present consumer of mental health or substance abuse services with a history of managing one’s own illness and experience working with people in the community.
- A sound understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse problems and treatments.
- Valid Driver's license and ability to maintain fleet service driving privilege.
- Ability to use good judgement, work well with others and maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with the community, able to use good judgment, and build good rapport with clients and community partners.
Salary : $22 - $25
