Job Details:
Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Memphis, TN 38125
Duration: 6 Months - CONTRACT
Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Role Overview:
Your job will be to act as the critical bridge between customers, scheduling, production, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will handle customer inquiries, manage order status and shipping timelines, and resolve escalations while balancing customer satisfaction with factory capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Liaison: Act as the primary contact for order status, production timelines, and delivery dates.
• Escalation Management: Resolve high-pressure customer issues with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Scheduling, Production, and Supply Chain teams to gather accurate operational updates.
• Problem Solving: Navigate complex, ambiguous situations and apply critical thinking when standard operating procedures do not apply.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and communicate potential risks to delivery timelines to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Document key learnings and contribute to process improvements where operational gaps are identified.
Preferred Skills:
• Ability to read, interpret, and organize technical documentation (architectural and elevator layout drawings).
• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and heavy Outlook).
• Ability to work comfortably with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and decimals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Technical School degree required. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: 1 years of related work experience, preferably in a construction or manufacturing field.
