About the Role:
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen and respective staff to successfully produce consistent, safe, quality cannabis infused edibles. The Manager is to oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all regulations and the highest levels of safety and cleanliness inside the kitchen area. - Build organizational capability; develop and motivate the team providing career coaching and training consistently aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Think and act strategically; demonstrate critical thinking and good judgement to make good business decisions that drive positive business results.
- Achieve and deliver results; ensure quality interactions, execute timely and consistently, deliver high-quality work outcomes that result in delivery against targets.
- Manage the kitchen work environment to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and quality of cannabis infused products to achieve the company’s business objectives efficiently, compliantly, and safely.
- Review and refine Standard Operating Procedures for kitchen equipment and processes.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement to further strengthen the company’s reputation and success.
- Develop and maintain all product specification documents, recipes, formulas, and food safety plans.
- Continually train, develop, and assess the skills of kitchen staff in all aspects of production.
- Work with leadership to develop all QA/QC and analytical testing for quality, consistency, and efficacy, and is constantly improving workflow.
- Regularly audit inventory to ensure full compliance.
- Execute a cleaning and maintenance schedule for the kitchen and kitchen equipment as required by procedures and manufacturer specs; ensuring no disruption to production.
- Safety first mindset; hold self and team accountable for safety to reduce exposure and risk.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Facility Director
Skills to be Successful (minimum qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in Food Science preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience within commercial kitchen or food production environment.
- Experience producing candies, chocolates, cookies, brownies, and other baked goods preferred.
- Familiarity with cannabis or infusions preferred.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary focus and attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with colleagues.
- Food Handlers/ServSafe certificate preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

- Must be of the minimum age required by state regulations.
- Ability to pass state mandated background check(s)
- Strong leadership skills; ability to effectively lead, coach, and develop direct reports.
- Builds trust within the team and values differences; encouraging all team members to do the same.
- Ability to complete and pass Food Handlers/ServSafe certification
Computers and Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to learn, navigate and accurately utilize the company’s seed-to-sale tracking software (where applicable).

Manufacturing environment that requires extended time standing, walking, bending and reaching. Ability to carry up to 50lbs for up to a distance of 100ft may be required. Occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects. Ability to work in a humid and pollinated environment.
