Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Car Painter to join our automotive repair and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body painting, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality finishes. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint using airless spray systems, power tools, and hand tools with precision and attention to detail
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, and auto glass replacement as needed
- Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-gloss finish
- Conduct vehicle inspections post-painting to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with vehicle detailing and minor mechanical repairs to support overall vehicle restoration projects
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and customer expectations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or dealership service centers
- Knowledge of auto restoration techniques and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, buffing machines, and other relevant tools
- Welding skills and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable
- Experience with auto estimating and customer service is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Prior experience working with auto glass replacement or auto glass repair is advantageous
- Dealership experience or mechanic experience is preferred but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.15 - $29.08 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
