Duties

Candidates for hire must possess patience and an eagerness to help children reach their social, emotional, physical and cognitive milestones while understanding that each child is an individual.
Duties
- Daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children.
- Individuals will provide classroom leadership as they strive to manage a program that exceeds state standards and GNJK guidelines.
- Communicates appropriate information to parents; maintains developmental profiles for children.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to physically get down on the floor with toddlers and respond quickly.
- Create weekly lesson plans and assess children using the Creative Curriculum.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including sanitizing toys, tables, chairs and maintaining appropriate cleanliness standards.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement including 20 hours of professional development yearly.
- Child Development Associates (CDA) or minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience working specifically with toddlers in a licensed setting
- Professionalism and positive work history
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
- Self-motivated
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs get down on the floor with infants and toddlers, and respond quickly
- Must be able to pass all criminal, child abuse, and drug screenings
- Must be able to work 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday
- Bilingual
- Understanding of American Sign Language
- CPR and First Aid training
- CDA
