Carpet One Floor & Home is currently looking for a Sales Assistant & Front Counter Assistant for our showroom. About The Position

This position requires an individual to undertake a variety of administrative functions. In order to be successful, the candidate needs to bring administrative skills and experience, as well as a willingness to learn our processes and systems. It is also expected that the individual be a self- starter, personally well-organized/detailed, and willing to provide outstanding customer service and follow-up.

Duties

The following are some of duties and expectations for this position:

• Greet and assist customers at the front counter and showroom
• Learn and explain our specialty products and their features
• Answer customer questions and make product recommendations
• Assist with pricing products, tags, and merchandising displays
• Process sales transactions accurately
• Keep the showroom clean, inviting, and organized
• Support inventory and restocking tasks as needed
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  
  

Requirements

GREAT candidates for the Sales Assistant position will have:

• Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Strong 'communication and basic math skills
• Willingness to learn product details and pricing systems
• Ability to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods
• Prior retail or customer service experience a plus (not required)
• Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality
