About This Role
The Children's Center is seeking a Preschool Teacher for children 3-5 years of age for our fall program starting the end of August 2026. This will be a full-time position including up to 40 hours per week and full Center benefits. The position reports to the Group Coordinator for the Preschool Program. Competitive starting salary with Master/Mentor Level opportunity and salary range of $17- $21 with commensurate experience, bachelors or master's degree, and/or state credentialing. Responsible for providing a comfortable, nurturing atmosphere, developing, and executing an on-going program that will contribute to the care, growth and development of the children who attend the Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center.
What You'll Do
The Children's Center provides comprehensive childcare services to children 6 weeks to 12 years of age, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We have built an exceptional child care facility staffed by caring, highly-qualified, and accomplished individuals who put children first. We take great pride in the extensive care, support, and enrichment activities that we are able to offer children including those with special needs. With 40 years in business, the Center is now proud to serve the children and grandchildren of some of our very first clients.

What You'll Do
- Provide a supportive and welcoming environment that meets the diverse needs of each child and family
- Participate in planning and conducting daily activities for the children.
- Support the children in practicing and developing independent self-help skills
- To maintain a clean, orderly and safe physical environment conducive to optimal growth and development of the children.
- Collaborate with families, related service providers and other support staff
- Participate in staff meetings and planning meetings, using staff meetings as a forum for expressing concerns relevant to the Center functioning or the well being of children.
- Maintain a friendly, respectful relationship with co-workers, to share information with other Center staff appropriately, and to deal directly with involved person and immediate Coordinator.
- Follow all center policies and NH Childcare Licensing regulations.
- Experience and passion working with young children
- Ability to work positively in a team environment.
- Candidate should have an understanding of child development.
- Must clear full background check and health screening.
- Strong commitment to maintain confidentiality.
- NH State Teaching Credential
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Courses in Early Childhood Education specifically focusing on child growth and development.
