About This Role
We are a licensed childcare center providing care for 1 month thru 5 years. We are looking for a full-time experienced Lead Preschool Teacher. Shifts are Monday thru Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is working with 7 3-4 year olds, providing children with fun, educational and developmentally appropriate activities in a safe and engaging environment.
You must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment as well as be self-motivated and organized. Having patience and an ability to develop positive relationships with children and their families is a must.

What You'll Do
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Follow Washington State Code: WAC
- Follow program policies and procedures
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality
- Carry out program responsibilities
- Follow the classroom daily schedule
- Assume an equal share of joint housekeeping responsibilities such as nightly shutting down the classroom, keeping classroom and children's supplies inventoried
- Actively engage in activities, manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Maintain confidentiality
Basic qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school degree or GED
- Have the ability to pass a Washington State background check
- Have or receive a TB test by the first day
- Have or receive STARS basic training
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Must have or get within 14 days Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must have or get within 14 days bloodborne pathogens
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks and be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- Have an initial ECE certificate or willingness to get. Scholarships available.
- 2 years of verifiable professional experience working at a center or other group care program.
