What You'll Do

• Plan and lead daily learning activities following early childhood development standards.
• Uphold all state licensing requirements and school rules.
• Ensure a safe, healthy, and clean learning space for all children.
• Keep organized, up-to-date records and classroom paperwork.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years early childhood classroom experience.
• Deep understanding of early child development.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, along with computer literacy.
• Energetic, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills for engaging with children, staff, and parents.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable with active physical requirements of working with young children, including frequent walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, crawling, and handling classroom materials.
  
  

Background & Clearances:

• Successful completion of a full background check.
• Ability to pass a health screening and submit a detailed medical form confirming good health.
  
  

Other:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be flexible.
• Must be creative in music, storytelling and outdoor education.
  
  

Nice To Haves

Certifications & Education

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent certification.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Active First Aid and Pediatric CPR certifications.
• Completion of state-mandated health and safety trainings (or up-to-date training records).
  
  

Classroom & Instructional Experience

• Experience working in a play-based, Reggio-Emilia, or Montessori-inspired environment.
• Knowledge of state early learning standards and curriculum planning tools.
• Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays.
• Familiarity with classroom management apps or family communication portals (e.g., Brightwheel, Tadpoles, Procare)
• Portfolio of past classroom experiences a plus.
