Position Summary
Provides specialized instruction to support student learning and achievement by implementing differentiated instructional strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and district requirements, and fostering a positive, structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement differentiated instructional programs to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records; prepare reports in accordance with federal, state, and district policies and regulations.
- Plan and facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines.
- Utilize designated software systems to manage caseload documentation and required paperwork.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to high student achievement and equitable support for all learners.
- Apply knowledge of subject matter to deliver effective and engaging instruction.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote critical thinking and student engagement.
- Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
- Analyze student performance data and adjust instruction to improve outcomes.
- Integrate available technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Promote positive student behavior using evidence-based practices, including behavior modification and positive reinforcement.
- Establish, communicate, and enforce classroom rules, procedures, and expectations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
