After School Teacher

Summary

Amici Trilingual Montessori is located in Phoenix, Arizona. We teach using the Montessori philosophy and full Language Immersion. We develop and nurture young children preparing for their future by giving them an advantage in reading, writing, and speaking in the world's most spoken languages, Mandarin, Spanish, and English.

Amici Trilingual Montessori teaches our children through full language immersion using the Montessori curriculum and a Chinese and Hispanic multicultural curriculum that includes language, vocabulary, songs, art, and music.

We seek an energetic, fun-loving teacher to develop and lead our educational, interactive afterschool program.

Duties

Duties

• Planning and delivering engaging and educational after-school activities and lessons.
• Providing a safe and positive learning environment for students.
• Monitoring students' behavior and ensuring their safety.
• Encouraging positive social interactions and promoting good character traits such as respect and responsibility.
• Collaborating with other teachers and staff members to support the overall educational goals of the program or school.
• Keeping accurate records of student attendance and behavior.
• Ensuring that all materials and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Staying up-to-date with current best practices in after-school education and continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.
  
  

Requirements

• Valid Fingerprint Card
• High school diploma or equivalent
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
  
  

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience working with young children; a school setting and/or licensed early childhood education center.

• At least 1-year teaching in a Montessori classroom.
• At least one year with a lead teaching role.
