AI Engineering Lead - Quant Trading
Chicago or NYC, Hybrid
One of the leading quant trading firms are looking for an experienced engineer to lead how AI is applied across the business.
This is a highly autonomous role focused on identifying high-impact opportunities, building AI-powered products and workflows, and helping teams work more effectively with modern AI systems.
You'll partner directly with senior leadership to determine where to invest, what to build, and how to scale successful AI initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Identify high-value opportunities for AI across engineering and trading teams.
- Build and deploy AI-powered tools, products, and workflows.
- Evaluate emerging models, frameworks, and platforms for potential internal use cases.
- Design the infrastructure and patterns required to scale AI safely and effectively.
- Own projects from idea through adoption.
What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering background with a track record of shipping products or platforms.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, RAG, and modern AI tooling.
- Excellent Python skills.
- Strong product judgement and an ability to turn ambiguity into execution.
- Experience building systems that people actually use.
