Off-Road Dump Truck Driver / Laborer – Temporary 6-Month Project

ACPLM, Inc. is hiring 2 Off-Road Dump Truck Driver/Laborers for a temporary 6-month Trash Remediation Project in Jacksonville, FL 32256.

We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious individuals with experience operating off-road dump trucks who are also willing to perform general construction labor.

Pay

$20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.

There may be an opportunity for long-term employment with ACPLM after the Jacksonville project is completed. Continued employment would require willingness to relocate to the Tampa, FL area.

Job Description

The Jacksonville project involves the remediation and processing of approximately 160,000 tons of material.

The Off-Road Dump Truck Driver/Laborer will operate an off-road dump truck and assist the project crew with material handling and general construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an off-road dump truck on the project site.
• Haul unsuitable material to designated locations.
• Transport screened material as directed.
• Assist with screening approximately 160,000 tons of material.
• Assist with placement and compaction of screened material.
• Perform general construction labor as needed.
• Assist equipment operators and other members of the project crew.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety or mechanical concerns.
• Follow instructions from the Superintendent and Project Supervisors.
• Follow all company and project-specific safety requirements.
• Wear required PPE and maintain a safe work area.
• Work around heavy equipment, trucks, screening equipment, loaders, excavators, compactors, and other construction machinery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

• Previous experience operating an off-road dump truck or similar heavy equipment.
• Construction experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to and from the Jacksonville project.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to perform physical construction labor.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred

• Experience in earthwork, excavation, site development, asphalt, landfill, remediation, or heavy construction.
• Experience operating other heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, rollers, or skid steers.
• Experience working around screening or material-processing equipment.
• Previous experience working on large-scale construction or remediation projects.

Physical & Work Requirements

This is a physically active construction position.

Employees must be able to:

• Sit and operate equipment for extended periods.
• Safely climb on and off heavy equipment.
• Walk, stand, bend, stoop, and work outdoors.
• Perform general labor and material-handling tasks.
• Work around dust, noise, uneven terrain, and heavy equipment.
• Work in hot, humid, rainy, and other outdoor conditions.
• Follow required PPE and jobsite safety requirements.

Long-Term Employment Opportunity
