What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Contractor - Painting position at Acorn Pro Painting?
Join our dynamic team as an Independent Contractor specializing in both interior and exterior painting! This role will be almost exclusively on residential homes. Quality and efficiency are the most important elements in this position.
- Perform residential painting projects using various techniques, including airless paint spraying and brush/roller application
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and minor repairs
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting environments with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assess project scope and material requirements
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, welding equipment, and industrial painting techniques
- Understanding of safety protocols on job sites
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project planning and material estimation
- Ownership of materials, such as ladders, brushes, and rollers
- Demonstrated handyman skills with a focus on maintenance tasks like caulking and trim carpentry
- Ideally, have a few crew members underneath you to help complete the projects
