Position Summary
The Value Stream Leader owns order-flow health from contract review through shipment. The role is accountable for making work visible, making risk explicit, preventing incomplete information from moving downstream, and leading the continuous improvement system that improves quote-to-ship performance.
The Value Stream Leader serves as the central point of coordination between Estimating, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations to eliminate bottlenecks, improve communication, standardize workflows, and increase the speed and quality of customer quotations. This individual will actively participate in daily estimating activities while leading initiatives that improve long-term business performance.

Responsibilities
- Own the P.O. to finance value stream, from P.O. receipt through customer delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive order performance.
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and drive accountability throughout the process.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standardized procedures and best practices.
- Balance workload and priorities to meet customer expectations and business objectives.
- Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze performance data and recommend solutions that improve productivity, quality, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the value stream process and ERP system, ensuring accurate data and process consistency.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create reports, dashboards, and analyses that support operational decision-making.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience in manufacturing, precision machining, or a related industrial environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing estimating, quoting, costing, or production operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn and become an expert user of the company's ERP system.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements.
Preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, manufacturing processes, and production planning.
