Local Driver for Traffic Control

Job Summary:

Acme Construction is a reputable commercial concrete and excavation company based in North Salt Lake City, Utah. We are seeking a dedicated Local Driver for our Traffic Control division to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely set up, maintenance and safe transportation of traffic control materials and equipment to various project sites along the Wasatch front.

This position requires daily checks of all Traffic Control setups at all of Acme Construction's job sites along the Wasatch front. You will be required to set up and maintain Traffic Control following approved plans, fix any issues that may arise between checks, set up signage as needed, and assist with any additional traffic control requests. Candidates must be willing to get TC and Flagger Certified. A clean driving record is required. Must be 18 years of age and older with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a focus on safety at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, ensuring proper securement for transportation.
- Conduct routine daily inspections of Traffic Control to ensure set up follows the approved plans for the highest level of safety for the community and workers. Report and repair any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inspections of Traffic control checks.
- Collaborate with the Traffic Control Manager and other team members to coordinate delivery and traffic control set up schedules efficiently .
- Uphold Acme Construction's commitment to on-time completion and safety standards in all transportation and traffic control activities.

Qualifications:

• - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• - Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Pay:

$20 - $25 per hour - wage based on experience and education
