Location: Renton, WA (100% Onsite)
Contract Duration: 1 Year (12 Months)
Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), Full-Time | Overtime Expected
Pay Rate: $75 / hour on W2
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Wire Design & Installation Engineer (Level 3) to join our team in Renton, WA, supporting major commercial aircraft electrical design programs. In this role, you will focus on 3D wire routing design and installation across the aircraft, as well as developing electrical assembly and commodity designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Integration: Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail, assembly, and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing/geometry, antennas) using 3D modeling tools.
- Aircraft Wire Routing: Perform end-to-end wire routing design throughout the airplane.
- Engineering Support: Provide engineering design disposition on manufacturing discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
- Documentation & SOW: Document processes, specifications, and procedures supporting electrical commodity design/manufacturing. Develop basic Statements of Work (SOW).
- Supplier Coordination: Participate in technical reviews of supplier capabilities to support source selection.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in engineering or wire harness installation design.
- Core Technical Skills:
- CATIA V5 proficiency
- 3D Modeling experience
- Proven experience with wire routing and harness design
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (or equivalent combination of education and experience, e.g., Master's 3 years' experience). ABET accreditation preferred.
Salary : $74 - $75
