π Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced CRM (Slate) UI/UX Designer for a part-time contract engagement. In this role, you will lead a comprehensive redesign of a Graduate Admissions Slate portal, working closely with design and marketing teams.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, user-centered thinker who can manage the full design lifecycle β from research and ideation to high-fidelity prototyping and production β while leveraging data to drive design decisions.
π Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and define user experience requirements through research and user testing
- Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts
- Design and develop a refreshed Slate portal experience that is intuitive, user-friendly, and visually cohesive
- Build a modular content block library enabling easy customization for different teams
- Develop high-fidelity UI elements including layouts, typography, and iconography aligned with brand standards
- Ensure all designs are responsive, mobile-optimized, and meet accessibility (WCAG) standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with brand and business goals
- Iterate designs based on feedback and data insights
- Deliver production-ready HTML/CSS and documented configurations
- (Optional) Redesign HTML email templates within the CRM system, budget permitting

Primary:
- Complete redesign of Graduate Admissions Slate portal
- UX research, wireframing, prototyping, and final production-ready delivery
Secondary (if budget allows):
- Redesign of HTML email templates with responsive, brand-aligned layouts
β Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer (portfolio required)
- Advanced proficiency in HTML5 and CSS
- Strong familiarity with Slate CRM portal architecture and content structure
- Experience with Figma (preferred), Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Strong understanding of user-centered design, accessibility (WCAG), and usability testing
- Experience working with design systems and component-based design
- Knowledge of responsive design principles
- Strong visual design skills (layout, typography, color)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver within defined timelines

- Direct experience with Technolutions Slate CRM
- Experience designing HTML emails within CRM systems
- Prior experience in higher education environments
