Pay Rate: $75–$76/hr. on W2
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Certification Engineer with strong background in avionics and aerospace safety-critical systems. This role focuses on analyzing supplier certification artifacts and ensuring compliance with Aircraft airworthiness standards.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in DO-178C software certification, along with strong knowledge of AC 17-01 and MIL-HDBK-516C processes. The role requires real-world exposure to airworthiness certification activities for aircraft software systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10 years of experience in avionics / aerospace software domain
Strong hands-on experience in:
- DO-178C software certification lifecycle
- AC 17-01 and MIL-HDBK-516C airworthiness processes
- Safety-critical embedded software systems
- Aircraft software certification and compliance activities
Strong understanding of:
- Software verification and validation processes
- Regulatory compliance for aerospace systems
- Analysis of certification artifacts (documents, test reports, compliance data)
