We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal – Immigration Support to assist with U.S. and international immigration processes for employees across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing immigration petitions, coordinating with attorneys, maintaining compliance records, and supporting employees through end-to-end immigration workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Immigration Case Management
- Prepare and support immigration filings, including H-1B, H-1B Extensions/Amendments, L-1A/L-1B, PERM, I-140, I-485, Change of Status, EAD, OPT/STEM OPT, and other employment-based petitions.
- Collect and review all supporting documents from employees and managers.
- Maintain accurate case files, checklists, and trackers for each immigration process.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise between employees, managers, and external immigration attorneys or law firms.
- Communicate requirements, timelines, and next steps to employees in a clear and timely manner.
- Coordinate attorney calls, document reviews, and case follow-up.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with USCIS, DOL, and internal immigration policies.
- Maintain public access files (PAF), LCA postings, and audit-ready documentation.
- Track expiration dates for visas, I-94s, passports, EAD cards, and work authorizations.
- Support I-9 and E-Verify compliance, including reverifications.
HR & Global Mobility Support
- Assist with relocation documentation, international travel advisories, and visa stamping guidance.
- Support global mobility processes including assignments, deputations, and cross-border transfers.
- Prepare employment letters, support letters, and internal memos as needed.
Reporting & Tracking
- Maintain centralized reports on immigration status, case progress, and upcoming expirations.
- Generate weekly/monthly dashboards for HR leadership and business units.
- Manage and update immigration templates, SOPs, and knowledge bases.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as an immigration paralegal, coordinator, or HR immigration specialist.
- Strong understanding of USCIS, DOL, PERM, H-1B regulations, and employment-based immigration.
- Excellent communication and written documentation skills.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with immigration attorneys or law firms.
- Exposure to global mobility or international immigration processes.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
