Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in evaluating patients’ conditions and developing personalized care plans focused on recovery goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness.
- Educate patients and their families on proper care techniques, discharge planning, and injury prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support discharge planning by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions from inpatient or acute care settings to home or outpatient environments.
- Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols during all patient interactions and therapy sessions.
Experience
- Prior experience working in inpatient or outpatient physical therapy settings is highly preferred.
- Neurological rehab experience preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopedics enhances your ability to deliver effective care.
- Proven ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to diverse patient populations including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and those recovering from acute injuries or surgeries.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients effectively are essential.
