We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction of a large athletic complex project ($30M) in the Charlotte/Lancaster County area. This is a field-based position, working primarily from the jobsite, and is expected to begin within the next 30–60 days.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the project from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will coordinate with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and internal stakeholders to drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects from mobilization through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule, cost, or quality.
- Lead project meetings and maintain communication with owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, company standards, and project specifications.
- Track project financial performance and provide regular reporting to company leadership.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, documentation, and final turnover.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience serving as a Project Manager in commercial, institutional, civil, or sports facility construction.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish with responsibility for budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling, and cost management.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site full-time.
