We are currently seeking a Thrift Store Distribution Staff to join our team. This role involves supporting and training individuals to help them achieve their vocational goals, ensuring the efficient operation of our Thrift Store, and working with supervisory staff to maximize donation profitability.
Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:45-3:15
We offer a $250 sign-on bonus to successful applicants! Start pay is $23/hour
Responsibilities
- Provide a courteous and professional service to individuals served and the community.
- Provide continuous instructions for work specific to vocational growth and training objectives.
- Prepare and maintain daily cash records, inventory records, and deposit cash receipts.
- Ensure the orderly and timely sorting, pricing, and stocking of all donations.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, payment and exchange policies, and security practices.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- Must have own vehicle and maintain a current California drivers license.
- Must provide on-going proof of current state required auto insurance.
- Must be able to pass a LiveScan or Background Check through the California Department of Justice and the FBI
- A high school education or equivalent is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Reading, writing, basic math skills.
- Patience and the ability to motivate others.
- Flexible with work schedules and willing to help cover different sites as needed.
- Bilingual preferred, but not necessary.
- Basic computer/technology skills and knowledge
Physical Requirements
Essential functions of this position require that employees regularly sit, stand, bend, twist and walk. Employees may occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
The starting pay for this position is $23 per hour plus benefits/perks!
