Achievement House, Inc., a company dedicated to building partnerships and creating choices for individuals with developmental disabilities, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated One-On-One Instructor to join our team. As an One-on-One Instructor, you will provide personalized training and support in both in-house and community integrated settings, ensuring that our services meet the company's Service Design and exceed the expectations of those we serve. This is a part time position.
This is a Part-Time position with a schedule of Mon/Weds 9:30am - 3:30pm & Thurs/Fri 9:30am-2:30pm
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Individual's ISP and services stated in the Service Design
- Teach and endorse proper activities and suitable use of time
- Coordinate, document, and review activity schedules for individuals served
- Instruct individuals on achieving and maintaining adaptive skills and suitable behaviors
- Provide continuous instructions for independent community and vocational skills objectives that correspond with abilities and development
- Ensure compliance with company programs, practices, and policies specific to program and client management
- Conduct safety training and maintain records for individuals served
- Provide behavior intervention as required
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience working with developmentally disabled adults preferred
- Valid California driver's license and proof of current state-required auto insurance
- Ability to successfully complete First Aid / CPR training (provided on-site as part of the training)
