We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional who can operate at either a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager level, depending on experience. What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & Close Process
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Lead or support the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis against budget
- Maintain and review general ledger accounts and reconciliations
- Oversee or support daily accounting operations including journal entries and account maintenance
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Support or lead cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities
- Assist in development of the annual budget
- Partner with Finance leadership on financial analysis and strategic initiatives
- Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits
- Serve as a key point of contact during audit processes
- For manager level candidates, provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred or in progress
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with Sage accounting software required
- 7 years of accounting experience
- Prior experience leading or supervising accounting functions or staff
- Strong experience with financial reporting, audits, and process improvement
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting systems (Sage required)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
