Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional who can operate at either a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager level, depending on experience. This role is responsible for supporting and potentially leading key accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger management, audit support, and financial planning activities.
This is a high impact role with visibility to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to contribute to financial strategy, process improvement, and organizational growth.
What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & Close Process
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
Lead or support the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis against budget
Maintain and review general ledger accounts and reconciliations
Accounting Operations
Oversee or support daily accounting operations including journal entries and account maintenance
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategy
Support or lead cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities
Assist in development of the annual budget
Partner with Finance leadership on financial analysis and strategic initiatives
Audit & Leadership Support
Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits
Serve as a key point of contact during audit processes
For manager level candidates, provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
CPA preferred
5 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience with Sage accounting software preferred
Preferred Qualifications (for Manager Level Consideration)
7 years of accounting experience
Prior experience leading or supervising accounting functions or staff
Strong experience with financial reporting, audits, and process improvement
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting systems (Sage preferred)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
