Seeking multiple positions – Part-time evenings/weekends, full-time Monday- Friday, and bilingual Skills Coaches. (First shift M-F - also Part Time: friday 4-6 (mcfarland) Sunday 9am-12p/1p (stoughton rd), 1 weekday 5p-8pm (stoughton rd) let us know what shifts! Also Bilingual position available!).

A Skills/Job Coach at AchieveAbilities helps program participants succeed at work, at home, and in their communities.

In this role, you will provide 1-on-1 support to people with disabilities by helping with a variety of vocational and personal goals through skill modeling and structured activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify job duties and create step-by-step breakdown of job tasks/duties – aligning the person's learning style with the training method
• Provide support in completing tasks, including modeling appropriate behaviors as needed
• Identify areas for improvement and address accordingly
• Plan meaningful activities with clients to build skills that contribute to identified goals
• Provide client transportation as needed
• Maintain and submit timely coaching reports
• Communicate problems and create action plans to resolve any issues
• Phase out of on-site support assistance over time, if appropriate
• Support learning, growth, and independence
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (example: HSED, GED)
• Valid driver’s license, access to reliable automobile, proof of insurance and a good driving record
• Basic computer skills and cell phone
• Ability to deal with challenging behavior while teaching job tasks, and communicate any support needed
• Patience, kindness, and flexibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer Skills (Outlook and Microsoft Teams)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• One year of professional or personal experience with people who have disabilities
• At least 1 years’ experience in a human service field
• Prefer Microsoft Experience
