**Position Summary**
The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support to users across multiple locations, ensuring smooth operation of Achieva's hardware, software, and network systems. This role offers hands-on experience, training opportunities, and the ability to develop strong IT fundamentals in a supportive environment. Reports to the IT Department Leadership.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide on-site technical support to users at various Achieva locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Set up and configure workstations, peripherals, and related equipment
- Install, update, and maintain software applications
- Perform basic network troubleshooting as needed
- Document service activities and maintain accurate technical records
- Communicate clearly with staff to assess needs and resolve technical concerns
- Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
- Perform other duties as assigned --- job responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs
- Extensive travel (approximately 50% of work time) to Achieva sites throughout Westmoreland and Allegheny counties; mileage is reimbursable
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Associate's Degree in IT or related field preferred
- CompTIA A certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months)
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Comfort with frequent travel and flexible work hours
- Must meet Act 33/34 and FBI clearance requirements
- Valid PA driver's license and properly insured automobile for daily use
