Position Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavioral assessment, program development, training, and oversight of behavior support services within an Adult Residential Group Home. This position ensures all behavioral services meet the highest standards of care, comply with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Title 17 regulations, and Regional Center requirements. The BCBA plays a key role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, person-centered lives in a safe and supportive environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) tailored to each resident’s needs.

Implement, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral interventions through data analysis and direct observation.

Train, mentor, and provide ongoing coaching to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and supervisory staff on behavioral strategies, data collection, and proactive intervention techniques.

Ensure fidelity of program implementation, monitor staff compliance, and provide corrective feedback when needed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including administrators, nurses, physicians, psychologists, and case managers.

Attend and participate in Individual Program Plan (IPP) meetings, quarterly reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings as required by DDS and Regional Centers.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes, behavior data summaries, and regulatory reports.

Provide emergency consultation and crisis management support when behavioral challenges arise.

Ensure compliance with Title 17, DDS standards, and Regional Center guidelines for behavior services in adult residential facilities.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.

Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.

Minimum of 2 years of experience providing behavioral services in adult residential settings or group homes.

Experience working with Regional Centers and understanding DDS processes and compliance.

Knowledge of Title 17 regulations and behavior service delivery requirements for adults with developmental disabilities.

Strong analytical skills in behavior data collection and interpretation.

Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to travel locally as needed.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in Level 3–4I Adult Residential Facilities (ARF).

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Training or certification in crisis intervention (e.g., CPI, PRO-ACT, or equivalent).

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and Regional Center representatives.

Hourly Rate: $65.00 – $85.00 DOE (Depending on Experience).
