Job Summary
The Credit & Collection Analyst is responsible for managing customer credit risk, monitoring accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections, and resolving disputes such as customer chargebacks and deductions. The role works closely with Sales, Logistics, Operations, Accounting, and customers to protect company cash flow and minimize financial losses.
Job Responsibility
- Monitor credit exposure and ensure accounts stay within approved limits.
- Work with credit insurance providers when applicable to obtain or adjust credit limits.
- Prepare credit review reports for management
- Follow up with customers to ensuretimely payment of outstanding balances.
- Investigate reasons and resolve for delayed payments.
- Coordinate with sales/operations teams when payment issues arise.
- Work with internal departments to validate or dispute chargebacks
- Dispute invalid deductions with customers and request reimbursement
- Track chargeback cases until resolution.
- Support audits and internal controls related to receivables
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- At least two (2) years experience in credit control, accounts receivable strongly preferred
- Experience dealing with (retail) chargebacks, trade disputes, credit control and collections preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and financial statement analysis
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Knowledge of credit insurance and secured transactions preferred
- Professional certifications such as CBA (Credit Business Associate) or CCE (Certified Credit Executive) strongly preferred
