Job Summary
Acer America Corporation is seeking a business-minded, associate attorney to support the company’s legal operations across a broad range of corporate, litigation and regulatory matters in North and South America (with primary focus on the United States). The job is for a generalist capable of learning new areas of the law, including the laws of countries outside of the U.S., to provide advice on a diverse range of legal matters such as drafting board resolutions, managing regulatory filings and corporate records, drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on product liability/safety compliance, human resources, privacy, cybersecurity, managing litigation and bankruptcies.
This is an excellent opportunity for an associate-level attorney who is a quick learner, able to work independently and cooperatively within a small legal team and possesses good communication skills necessary for working with senior leadership and business teams who may be in other countries.

Requirements
- Experience with corporate governance, drafting board resolutions, managing regulatory filings and maintaining corporate records
- Experience with drafting and negotiating contracts
- Experience providing legal support to manufacturing, hardware, or technology companies
- Experience providing legal advice on product liability or consumer electronics safety compliance, including experience with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission or Health Canada
- Experience providing legal advice on consumer privacy or cybersecurity legal frameworks
- Experience working with clients in foreign countries for whom English is a second language
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Texas
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (law firm or in-house)
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Language fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is not required but would be a plus
