Pay: $22 to $32 an hour. Pay is dependent on experience and skillset. The amount is not inclusive of the total compensation package.

What can you expect as a first-shift welding technician on a typical shift at ACEMCO?
- Set up new and existing fixtures in the weld department.
- Complete assignments established by the Production Management.
- Work with the Engineering department on new fixtures and equipment
- Perform changeovers on weld equipment and weld schedules and obtain quality approval of submitted samples for production run approval.
- Perform "in-process" adjustments on weld equipment as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance on weld fixtures and accessory equipment in the weld department daily.
- Built, installed, or repaired sensor or part detecting equipment on the weld machines in the weld department, assuring cable protection was in place.
- Remove and replace weld consumables and components on given weld fixtures or machines.
- Involvement in the continuous improvement of the welding processes.
- Capable of performing all weld machine operations and running production equipment if deemed necessary to meet customer demands.
- Perform maintenance on weld cells (pneumatic, electrical, etc).
- Troubleshooted robotic and resistance machine problems, which would consist of wire feed problems, arc failures, torch contact, and sensor and gas flow problems for the robotic welders. Resistance troubleshooting areas would consist of air pressure problems, water flow problems, sensor problems, and weld-gun indexing problems.

Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A technical and mechanical person who can troubleshoot robotic or resistance welding equipment. This person should be able to replace consumables on the robotic welders, such as contact tips, diffusers, libels, drive rolls, weld wire, and gas change over. Resistance machine consumables would consist of electrodes, shanks, copper backing, weld nut locating pins, etc. They would also be able to change or replace weld fixtures, locating pins, proximity switches, air lines, air fittings, air cylinders, and clamping mechanisms when needed.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hearing protection is required and supplied. Eye protection (safety glasses) is required and supplied. You are required to purchase and wear steel-toe safety shoes or boots.

Shift Hours:
1st shift: 6 am to 2 pm
Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime to be expected on Saturdays and Sundays.
