As an Early Head Start Teacher, you’ll nurture and guide infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) during the most critical years of brain development, creating a safe, stimulating, and loving environment where every child can thrive What You’ll Do As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will: Create a warm, responsive classroom that promotes healthy growth, exploration, and secure attachments. Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language development. Build strong family partnerships by conducting home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and helping families engage in their child’s learning journey. Support individualized learning, including children with special needs, by integrating Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) into daily activities. Track and document progress using observations, anecdotal notes, and digital tools to tailor instruction to each child’s needs. Ensure health, safety, and wellness through daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and transitions. Who You Are We’re looking for someone who is: Deeply committed to early childhood education and child development. Caring, nurturing, and responsive to the needs of infants, toddlers, and families. Flexible and collaborative, able to partner with co-teachers, families, and leadership. Reflective and growth-minded, always seeking to improve outcomes for children. Bilingual (Spanish-English) a plus! Minimum Qualifications Infant/Toddler CDA, or an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent coursework with infant/toddler focus). Pass a physical exam and background check. Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and actively engage with infants and toddlers throughout the day.
